Andaman Coast consists of few major vacation spots for travelers. Phuket, Phi Phi Island, Koh Lanta, Krabi town, Aonang and Railay are the limelight.
Only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm until 10pm, this weekend night market is truly unique to Krabi. You’ll get to buy local souvenirs, taste local delicacies and even experience the mini local cultural performance.
Just a glimpse If you are going to Krabi for the very first time, I would reckon that you stay in Aonang, about 1 hour from Krabi town. The town itself has nothing much to offer except for the night market.
Recommended by Lonely Planet , Buakao Inn is conveniently situated in Thongsala, just 5 minutes walk from the main pier. The price is reasonable ranging between 650-950 baht.
1. Half day or full day tour exploring phi phi lay, phi phi don. This tour includes snorkeling, kayaking and swimming.
At first sight of PP Insula lobby, this place would probably not be anyone’s choice of accommodation. I’m personally taken aback by their reception desk and the overall ambience in the lobby. But after checking out their rooms, it’s nothing like what you see at the main entrance.
Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand located in Andaman Sea (Southern Thailand). This province is blessed by the many breath taking beaches that each of them are unique and different from another.
Check out Chaofa Variety Market on weekends and immerse yourself in the local Thai delicacies, knock off goods and antiques. The highlight of this market is basically the smell, our noses lead the way to the food section where we get to see all kinds of different foods served in unusual ways.
Aonang Orchid Resort is situated 100 meters away from the Aonang beach and just a stone throw away from the main street. This resort is cozy, comfortable and the pool is amazing.
Guest post by Valerie Sham. Twilight, blackout. Might be the worse combination, but not here. Walk along the pier as the sun sets on the horizon, you’ll see the stars start to pop out one by one. It’s amazing! The universe, the milky way… in it’s full splendour.
Just 2 minutes walk from the pier in Phi Phi Island, you can hardly miss this guesthouse situated along a small alley near the popular D’s Books cafe. The White 2 sure gives backpackers/ flashpackers a good first impression.
Koh Samui is the third largest island in Thailand situated at the Gulf of Thailand. This island is pretty big and it has developed itself into a full blown tourist destination. If you’re planning a trip to the island and don’t know where to begin with, read on.
Guest post by Boon Siew Mei. Why volunteering matters? Was it to give something back to the community? Was it to “brighten” up my CV? Was it to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life? My answer is it was a little bit of everything.
