Villa Laodeum is situated next to the Royal Palace (National Museum), just a few meters away from the popular Luang Prabang Night Market. Its surrounding is quiet but relatively safe for solo travelers. The owner and his team are very friendly and attentive to our request.
Laos is located in the middle of Southeast Asia, a landlocked country with a population of 6.8 million (2009) sharing border with Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and China. This place is the least developed country in SE Asia and generally Laotian has a gentle-laid back approach to life.

After spending 1 night in Vientiane and 1 night in Vang Vieng, we head up north for approximately 6 hours from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang by bus.
Kuang Xi Waterfall is about 29KM from Luang Prabang town and if you are not a trekking person, you can opt for half-day mini bus tour that brings you straight to the waterfall.
