Fashion RFID integrates SCO Checkpoint’s RFID technology into Partner Tech Europe’s market leading POS terminal. The solution will allow shoppers to place their clothing directly into the kiosk and it will automatically identify the RFID tag, determining whether the clothing has been paid for or not. The new solution will create a frictionless retail environment that allows customers to checkout quickly while providing exceptional loss prevention.
Fashion RFID SCO will enable apparel retailers to address many of the challenges they currently face in self-checkout areas. This includes theft detection, identification of multiple packages, multiple items, items without barcodes, unreadable QR codes, and problems caused by technical issues.
Smart solution software deactivates tags when verifying payments, reducing false alarms and improving loss prevention. Once items are placed in an area of the checkout counter, barcode scanning issues are also immediately eliminated, expediting the checkout process and improving the customer’s shopping experience.
The new RFID-based SCO will also provide a wealth of granular data on individual purchases, which when combined with inventory information can help stock goods faster and reduce the number of scenarios. Studies have shown that implementing RFID and increasing inventory accuracy levels to over 93% can increase sales by 9% (1).
