In the flower complex at the “Spring of Colors” festival, giant flower sculptures of 4-6 meters in size will be placed, spread over an area of ​​10-20 meters one by one, of the characters of the beloved sea animals, such as: whale, octopus, Nessie the sea dragon, the king and queen of the sea and a complex sea creature, under the concept of “bringing the sea to the land”, so that the world will come to life again in the green hills of the National Park in the magical water Ramat Gan.
The giant idols will consist of 40,000 special plant saplings that were planted 4 months prior to the start of the festival in 4 different nurseries across the country. The seedlings were carefully selected according to their bloom time which coincided around the time of the festival and included planting: petunias, tagetes, zinnias, egg, carnations and more.
In the “Spring of Colors” festival’s light arts complex, 25 giant videos and light displays will be set up under the concept of spring blooming, such as: a blooming night garden, birds from cold countries, butterflies emerging from their cocoons , Renovation and color in the air and much more. Every hour starting at 19:00, a light display will be activated that hugs the lake and is synchronized to a specially composed sound track. The light show will cover an area of ​​about 200 dunams and include two million LED lights and about 30 projectors of the “Image Fani” type, which specialize in projecting onto buildings and non-standard surfaces, such as trees. And with high quality resolutions.
In addition, starting at 19:00, another light show will be activated every round hour, dedicated to the lake and synchronized with a specially composed sound track.
The music for all the light displays was adapted to the entire experience, synchronizing it with the natural environment in which visitors would experience the performances. Most of the lighting functions are energy efficient and based on LED technology, the average power consumption for work is comparable to the consumption of a household electric kettle.
The “Spring of Colors” performance at the National Park in Ramat Gan will be led by a team of field experts and key professionals, including: lighting artist Gil Teichmann, representative production staff, architects and designers. The duo “Lily and Fallujah” aka Lior Peleg and Itamar Pelogi, an artist duo specializing in creating sculptures and installations on a global scale. Among the duo’s outstanding works – the Flying Camel sculpture at the Midburn Festival, the Palace of Windows sculpture in the center of Jerusalem, the Boom Festival in Portugal, and art at festivals around the world – Mykonos, Berlin, Amsterdam and more.
During the days of the festival, dedicated bus lines will be operated from Ramat Gan Stadium and Tel Aviv to the National Park in Ramat Gan, allowing the general public to visit. Details can be updated on the municipal website of Ramat Gan.
